Raw's newest acquisition via the Supplemental Draft, Sandman is as extreme as sports-entertainment figures come. An ECW Original, Sandman is noted for his uncontrollable rage and his love for beer, as well as arguably the most extreme entrance in ECW as he emerges from crowd. His bar-brawling approach has often led him to enter the ring with blood already rushing from his forehead after smashing it with a beer can or a cane -- two things Sandman is rarely seen without.

On April 15, 1995, Sandman became the second ECW World Champion in history when he defeated fellow pioneer Shane Douglas in Philadelphia. Within 18 months of his initial championship reign, he would be a three-time champion. Along with 2 Cold Scorpio, Sandman would add the ECW Tag Team Championship to his list of accomplishments in October of 1995.

Sandman’s most notable rivalries include Mick Foley, Terry Funk, Raven and Tommy Dreamer; however, he kicked off the early ECW on Sci Fi shows by teaming with Dreamer in a heated rivalry with Mike Knox and Test.

Prior to becoming a professional wrestler, Sandman spent 20 years of his life splitting time between semi-pro rugby and prison. “The Extreme Icon” boasts over 20 arrests for drunken bar fights and six months spent in solitary confinement - or “the hole” as he fondly recalls - for punching out a prison guard.
